I see this point well, and I agree that he should hop on those European gigs to make money, but it would just be nice if he showed a stronger desire to give something back to someone near to his origins. I regret missing the Wizard gig at the start of the month, but in the end I'm glad I worked harder to get to that Plus 8 party on 10/28 because time and again I've seen Richie pour his heart into Detroit with no signs of letting up. Jeff played for the first time in 10 years in the city that started him? And that was supposed to excite us? I live in Chicago and I take it Jeff lives here, too, but I haven't seen him give us a thing, not even one performance, and there are plenty of places for him to play besides a dirtylittlerave. ;)

I love his music and think he's a wonderful and innovative artist, but I just wish he played around here more often, both to see him and for the statement that performing in your home town or town-of-residence makes.

DEMF wish list -- agree with that Stewart Walker idea and would love to see DJ Ferenc/I-F -- I look forward to the "TBA". Should be a fun time! I've only seen Kooky once (at the Plus 8 party), but it was phenomenal -- I'm psyched for a repeat.

Cheers,
Dave

The way I see it is... most promoters in the US dont want to pay that much
for Mills.. in Europe... its no problem. Why on earth would he want to
come to the US to make less then he can in Europe, but then again.. its not
about the money.. its about the music.. right?
