What should really get posted is the security hole that's been found in Internet Explorer.

Cuartango of Spain, however, has discovered a means of executing attachments using a false Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) header. The hole afflicts IE 5, IE 5.5 over all Windows platforms and could cause serious damage. Microsoft Corp.'s bulletin on the subject said, "As a general rule, it is probably worth questioning the trustworthiness of any e-mail that automatically starts a file download. The best action is to simply click the Cancel button in the dialogue." A patch has also been issued. BUT!!!! (again, from Tom's Hardware) IE security patch install buggy Microsoft Corp. was hit by more bad news when it was reported that the patch for its latest, and perhaps greatest, Internet Explorer security flaw had a serious installation problem. The patch for the hole in Internet Explorer Versions 5 and 5.5 delivered a message to users, during the install, that the patch was not needed. Microsoft officials are urging those who stopped the installation to return to the company Website and update their browsers.
