nice question...i would add why do you shy away from conflict? from anger? why do you assume anger is "bad" or unproductive? why must discussions be smooth, orderly, efficient and supportive for you to call them mature? what are these feelings a product of? your enculturation? why do you venerate sameness (oh we're all just people)? why can't you see that it is not our differences that separate us but our refusal to recognize these differences? -k
