anyone have any thoughts on the difference between Moodymann albums on CD vs. their vinyl counterparts?
picked up a couple of his non-album 12" releases and they had a noticably different (and, for me, more satisfying) sound than the CDs. specifically, a tighter bass sound, less lower-midrange resonance, crisper high end, little more distortion here and there. in short, a little more raw, a little more punch.
or does it just mean that it's time to get a new stylus. thanks kurt
