I think that Fred is Actually CEO Jacques nasser (sp), the head honcho of
ford.
he uses the Kooky Scientist persona to collect money in hats at performances
so he can continue the ford propaganda machine. If you look inside this
'hat' (so he says), there's a bottomless pit with a ford logo on it.
