hmmmm...it sounds a lot like the "corporate" clubs we have here in the uk (ministry of sound, cream etc) and i gotta say - they really suck. something is lost when you make the move to large, expensive purpose built venues - if only that more often than not creative decisions have to be curtailed in order to bring in more punters to cover vast overheads...
