.cda is the file-extension for a cd playable wave file.

Most Audio CD burning software will create a CD from .mp3 though. I know for a fact that Adaptec easy CD 4.0+ and Nero both do.

If you need help finding these programs shoot me a mail.

Off topic but I thought I'd ask the masters:
i want to convert a file from MP3 format and burn it onto an audio CD that
will play in a standard CD player (home, car ect) . what format do I need to
make the file in order for it to be read and played back by a CD player?
