Nah, you're just growing up ;-).

I think it is normal that you try to expand your horizons a bit, I was also
a big Techno head a few years back but now I just buy & play what I like.
But mostly in a 4/4 frame. Plus the fact that a lot of the deephouse on a
more "experimental trip" (eg not played with real instruments) reminds me of
early Detroit Techno.

I don't know how old it is, but I've been digging on Boo Williams'
"Breakin Point" EP on Track Mode. What could be cheekier than
samping "Numbers"?

It's funny, after hosting TP a half dozen times, having Boo out a few
times, and seeing Moodyman and Larry Heard during DEMF, I've gone from
a total experimental & techno head to really loving deep house. Is
this some sort of virus?

I played out last saturday night and did my usual 'stuff the crate' 2
hour warm up the night before, just grabbing records that hit me without
thinking too much about it. After I played a kid came up to me and said
"DOod excellent! No one plays deep house around here!"

Which was pretty funny -- I did play moodyman, and some herbert, and
a few other things with vocals, but I also played Dietrich Schoenemann
and Claude Young. Hmmm...
