i totaly agree with Bart, in the day sonar was like a convention of trainspotters, very easy going vey cool and good music. in the night soanr was all that is bad in todays big club very big venues when the dj is high in the sky like a demi god or deity, i don`t like that. nite sets where very hard since most of the crowd were spanish people going to rave after taking alot of drugs (like we call it DLUKIM). yair.

Sonar is really a thing to concider. The weather is mostly great, Barcelona is a great city and the music is fun (and the food is good...). There is only one big but...the festival is growing and growing and growing....I have been there last year, and the year before and last year the 'magic' at night was all lost because they had chosen a very big nightvenue. Two large halls of an exhibition centre and one outside area (more a place for a big rave then a electronic music festival)...fare away from the city centre and a complete nightmare when it comes to getting home....The saturday is mostly the day to skip...a complete overload of people...day and night (two years ago they stormed the night venue.....complete madness...) Again, one nice thing...rumours go round that kraftwerk is playing at Sonar this year....
