Well, right...Durutti Column hardly carried the urban funk terrorist flag in the manner of Skidoo! But I also mentioned ACR, where there is the obvious label connection with DC. As for things in common, let's just say Skidoo, ACR, DC were each breaking new ground in their own right, creating classics never bettered by their later recordings. They each cut first, & cut deep. Hence we can talk about them in the same breath as among the leading pioneers/innovators of cutting-edge music during that dark, distant time. Must check out that compilation you mentioned earlier. Does it have Rip, Rig, & Panic or Skidoo's "Kundalini" on it?
