Hi Greg, Perhaps the fate of electronic music is to be a side-show. Perhaps we have seen the height of it's performance in pop-culture. Perhaps the electronic music publications that have sprouted over the last five years will start to die away, and only a small, resilient sub-culture will hold on. However, electronic instruments are not going away. The sounds of 808's, 909's, 303's, and the digital analog hybrids will keep pumping for years to come. The foundations laid by techno, house, jungle, and the countless derivitive styles have become integrated into mainstream culture, and they will sprout new styles, while purists will continue to crank out minimal techno, disco-funk and deep house for a while yet.
Change happens. I can't wait to see what happens next. - Eric ===== If I didn't have ears, I'd make music with paint.
