regarding the first track, I like the energy, but after checking my mixer
and both outboard filters, I quit blaming my setup for the resultant
flatness of the track

there is no bass, no treble...  I just dropped the mids with my mixer and
most of the track disappeared..

track 2, is nice in terms of content.  a little hard for a lot of peoples
tastes, but nice.  again this track is very flat, and mono from the sound of
things.  writing good music is harder than mastering tracks out tho so
you're in the same boat as I am ie, track skills and no mastering skills
