If you have time & wheels there are a couple of nice vegetarian restaurants in the burbs. OM Cafe - not everyone's fave, but I really used to like this place. It's in Ferndale and is the kind of vegetarian food that scares carnivores. In Season - a nice veg restaurant in Royal Oak. Often times they have nice specials.
