I was raving about these guys after they played here (Iowa City) last Saturday, and I'll say it again -- Aavikko is an absolutely great live band. Like Kraftwerk and Booker T jamming on Klezmer and Russian Disco. I guess VHS OR BETA is an Electroclash sort of thing; Aavikko isn't really Electro, but they do have uniforms with shiny piping ;-)
