This is the first time that Marco Carola has held a club residency in London, and he'll be making the most of the opportunity to showcase some world-class guest DJs and live acts from around the world - playing on a state of the art sound system in one of London's coolest venues. The club venue itself is located in the basement beneath the Propaganda bar. It's licensed for 500 people, which will make for an intimate and intense atmosphere. The space is divided into 3 separate rooms - a main room, secondary room and VIP room. The club has 3 bars and is air-conditioned. Naples-born Marco Carola has been a key player in the techno scene since the mid-nineties, gaining worldwide respect as a producer - notably with the start of his Design label. Parallel to this, his reputation as a DJ of high calibre grew almost in tandem. Marco was instrumental in putting Italian techno on the map, and helped bring attention to fellow producers such as Gaetano Parisio and Gadgets. His 1000 imprint (limited to 1000 copies of each release) further ensured that he was a regular fixture in record boxes internationally, and from that he went on to set-up his Zenit imprint, and also Question - a label which represented the deeper edge to the techno sound. Currently residing in London, Marco's impressive skills as a DJ are still very much in demand across the globe. However, System is a project that he intends to dedicate much attention to. Fellow System resident, Mark Broom, is one of the most well regarded DJ / Producers in the UK - and one to whom the word 'underrated' often gets attributed. He is the man behind Pure Plastic where he records both under his own name and, along with Dave Hill, as the massively popular Rue East outfit. As a DJ, he clocks up the Air Miles, and has held residencies at Belgium's Fuse club as well as his current residency at one of Spain's premier techno nights - La Real. Mark's versatility as a DJ is one of his main assets, and he'll be bringing this to the table at System. Last, but by no means least, is Terry Mitchell - a long-standing player on the London techno scene. As boss of Dark House Music, Terry brought the world the acclaimed Trackhead series, amongst other projects. Terry's musical roots lie with electro, hip-hop and a deep love of Chicago house, and these elements are apparent in his funky, jacking DJ-style. He's guested at clubs such as Fabric, The End, B.A.S.E, as well as regular trips abroad to spin with some of the biggest names on the international circuit. With Terry onboard, this will further concrete System's reputation as THE techno club night in London.
