This topic does seem awfully narrow sometimes - why not stray off the point occasionally? That's how conversations evolve naturally in the real world - it gets a little boring sometimes if you stick to the same topic always. If an e-mail doesn't interest you it's not a terrible inconvenience - just hit delete.
