Europanto is an artificial language, so in that sense it does have something
to do with esperanto. it is a  mixture of elements from some of the main
European languages, for use among members of the European Union and the
reason it's used in belgium is of course that EU headquarters are in
Brussels. Also it is, unlike esperanto, only used as a second language.
