So I wouldn't write off AoN or Yello or Tangerine Dream or anybody else as
sounding permanently dated and more novel than truly clever. Well alright,
maybe YMO... :)

======================================

Those are fighting words. If you're one of the unfortunates who've not experienced the glory of YMO's greatness, I suggest you check out ebay and get a copy of their hurrah concert DVD. It's transcendental.

Chaos Panic Intrumental is the happiest song ever!

I'll drop in my .02 here. I would say it depends on which LPs you're talking about. I think Technodelic in particular (as well as BGM and Technodon - do you think Technodon sounds dated??!!!) stand the test of time very well indeed. Not to mention the huge influence Hosono and Sakamoto have had in general on electronic music. Speaking of the devils, Sketch Show (Takahashi and Hosono project) has recently been joined onstage by Ryuchi and a few YMO were performed.
