For their first event of 2003, HigherGround continue to focus on welcoming
internationally respected DJ?S/producer?s to the CCA. On this occasion they
have the pleasure of hosting Mike Grant of Detroit. Grant has been dj-ing
since the early 80?s and has played with legends such as Jeff Mills and Ken
Collier at Detroit?s own Studio 54. A member of Detroit's first Hot Mix
radio show, "Street Beat", spinning with Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Mills,
and Kevin Saunderson, he is also one of the few Americans to have had a
guest residency at Berlin?s, Tresor club. His production credits display
his
talent and background, having releases on labels such as Metroplex, Track
Mode and his own Moods& Grooves. Only periods in the Military and Education
have possibly denied Mike Grant, the status of the aforementioned Detroit
luminaries.
