The last time I saw CC play as a DJ, as opposed to live, was about 5 or 6 years ago in Cleveland. At the time his mixing skills were fairly abysmal so it was really just him blending great songs together rather than actually beatmatching or anything. Lots of trainwrecks but incredibly great music.

I have seen him play live a couple of times since then but have no idea about his DJing skills... My guess would be that he has improved greatly as a DJ since I last saw him if he can actually beatmatch these days.

At the time he said that he didn't really consider himself a true DJ because of his lack of technical skills - I don't know what he says now.

i wasnt too aware fo how he was a dj. I really enjoyed it and i defined it
as a trip, a voyage.
thats the same feeling i get from this double cd....a varied set of mixed
styles that transports the listener through highs and lows (not
qualitatively speaking...)
That said, i dont know what you think of CC track selections and sets. I
didnt know CC as a dj before this so i may not be the best person to hear
from, but i like the double cd.

i hope that helps,
fab
