if you have somewhat slim pockets, get a pair of M-Audio Studiophile SP5B's. They're amplified, sound great and only cost $299USD. I love mine and I won't be replacing them anytime soon. I've mixed down some stuff and it sounds nice on my car and home stereo's. take a look at 'em here: http://www.zzounds.com/love.music?p=p.MIMSP5B&z=1626860498560
There's a new version of 'em, the BX5's. I would imagine they sound even better. -----Original Message----- From: D.E [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2003 8:06 PM To: 313@hyperreal.org Subject: RE: (313) Studio Monitors Yorkville YSM1 active , kicks tannoy reveal and others in that price range. else go for the event 2020 , d Date: Thu, 5 Dec 2002 10:44:19 -0500 To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "[EMAIL PROTECTED] Org" <313@hyperreal.org> From: "Darren Longton (Marketing)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: (313) Studio Monitors Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I still say the Mackie HR series are tha $hit....under the Genelec's OF = COURSE. Genelec's have an INCREDIBLY clear top end with nice TIGHT = mid's and LOOOOW's. Then again, I don't know many ppl that can afford = them. Of course I've only heard the large studio versions...haven't = heard the new project studio size yet...I'd venture to say they're = comparable tho. Good luck with that. d$ --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
