Try going to A1 records, they have loads of old house/funk/early detroit stuff and the prices aren't too bad. It's on 6th st betw 1st + 2nd ave.
This month we have Farben / Thomas Fehlman playing live and akufen playing at the APT later in the month. For house you might wanna check out Shelter (Timmy Regisford) on sat's and danny t. on friday night at arc. You might also want to check out Cafe Deville on Wed's, some people playing this month : Traxx, Kazuu (vinyl market), ... and monday nights at tronic are usually good.
