I know I am bit slow in replying but Shake played a blinder the day before that in Liverpool too on Friday 11th April. He was an ultimate star when he came, very special atmosphere in the place as usual for T-funkshun's 2nd Birthday. It was a special night all over as Jonny McIntosh turned in a great set before Shake, starting with What's Going On by Marvin Gaye. The style of these two was most suited.
I remember Shake dropping everything from Radiohead - Idoteque, Smith & Hack album, Feadz - Funksplitter, Krikor on Katapult, Clash - Radioclash (this was odd as we had been enthusing about the Clash when we picked him up.), and also that electronic funk tune that's name has temporarily left me. The vocal actually says something like "I sing the funk electric, I sing the funk electric," "Out of space out of time, blah blah blah blah blah blah, on a journey!" I think it is called Electric something. Anyway, Shake, wherever you are, I hope you are smiling after your travels. Sounds like you did damage everywhere you came. Much love.
