I always think the Sonar line-ups are odd, to be honest. Looking at the list below, and leaving aside those car thieves O&N, you might wonder why has-beens Underworld are in there, for example. Or Fat Truckers? Or Darren Price? He's been so low-profile the last few years I thought he'd retired. Then you always seem to get the same old big DJ names playing - Mills, Garnier, Hawtin, Cox, Peterson etc - who although they're all good DJs in their different ways, are hardly going to be much of an event to the people attending. I reckon they all just like the festival so much they're willing to drop their prices to play there every year.
But Robert is right, it's the little known acts, along with all the other parties and just the general atmosphere of the festival and the beauty of Barca, that are the best reasons for going. I'd love to go again but once again, lack of funds prevents it.
