Wonderful, can't wait to hear it. The Tour De France 12" has definitely grown on me, in fact it's a bit addictive! I hope the rest of the LP makes up for all these years, it must be weird for them seeing how everything's changed. I suppose they've got an awful lot more work to do, we've had 20 years of electronic dance music since their last (major) output, but what was nice about TDF03 for me was it's lightness, funkiness, and general vibe, for me it's really uplifting. If the rest of the LP is in that vein, it should be a real treat.
I guess it's natural that, although they stood out a mile when they first appeared, nowadays all they can achieve is to be well-received amongst the myriad releases we endure in electronic music, no bad thing considering they're partly responsible for the whole damn thing! Anyway, just thinking aloud... Stuart, is the promo a CD or vinyl pack? Any spares? ;-) -----Original Message----- From: Stuart Thomas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thu 7/24/2003 1:35 PM To: 313 Cc: Subject: (313) NEW KRAFTWERK ALBUM... Just heard the new kraftwerk album... very good. The new tracks they've done are really nice, deep, minimal, laidback, very kraftwerk obviously though it reminds me a little more of yellow magic orchestra in places (some very oriental synth sounds if that makes sense). The tour de france rework isn't very different from the original though to be fair, sounds like they've just replayed it keeping the original structure.
