definitely one of those weird 'hits' in Detroit with the 80's underground party/detroit dance scene (if you want more detais on this check out Dan Sicko's book, the chapter "Party Out of Bounds")... and of course the Mojo factor as Alex said. same came be said for the seemingly inexplicable popularity of Visage 'frequency 7' in detroit too, to this day! etc. cheers, Matt MacQueen
