yes this album is awesome, NYC art-rock tension with jerky funk. I also loved the whole 'stop making sense' movie and LP. And I'm usually not a fan of live recordings unless they're really special.. and this one was.

From 1983 there was the outstanding (and probably my personal favorite) 'Speaking In Tongues' LP with some very funky melodic tracks. It kicks off with "Burning Down the House", but I prefer the b-side, every track is strong. Like 'slippery people' (later covered by The Staple Singers!), 'This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)', and 'Pull Up the Roots' which is basically a quirky disco track... mixes like butta with New World Aquarium 'Tresspassers' on Delsin.. you gotta try it if you have both of these... freaky good combo.

but don't listen to me, all I play is 80s music  ;)
