Still reeling a bit from seeing Lightning Bolt last night -- anyone catch them in Detroit? 9/26?
If you haven't seen them, it's a guitar + drum duo that sets up with 5 4x10 cabinets for the bass. They general don't use the house PA or play on the stage; they like being surrounded by people. The closest thing I've heard to what they do is the John Coltrane/Rashied Ali duets - hyper-fast, pummeling drums with giant wall of noise guitar.
