Wired is a rather large and bland nightclub. Decent sound although I'm sure Hawtin wil have his own. And the plain surroundings make it ideal for the usual decor that plus 8 is known for.
as for chicago- vision is a pretty amazing venue. its ridiculously big and kinda fun to just run around in. they are also one of the last big clubs that i know of to have stacks (instead of a flown system). The problem is- its right in the middle of tourist central, so you can expect more of a generic clubby crowd that happens to stumble in on any given night. Also- expect to spend a fortune on drinks (but they do serve until 5am as opposed to Windsor's 2am). YOu'll also get an extra hour of Rich (4am-5am) that you won't get in Windsor, but personally I would still prefer to go to the Windsor gig. You know that if nothing else the sound will be fantastic. And I've always found Rich's hometown sets to be a lot more interesting than away games. Whatever- I'll be stuck seeing him in LA the following week since I'm moving there. I guess I'll find out how la-la-land reacts to techno.
