think it was the promo matt but I am not sure because
i have the "earth & nightfall" john b. & open house
12" too and it was also the same on clear vinyl with
the same logo and clouds in background. For those of
you with the commercial copies, the color was actually
not black but a greenish-brown?? vinyl color...hold it
up to the light!

it's a tough one to find for collectors apparently.
Dan pointed me to an auction where the record went for
$300...similar to Retroactive records that go on ebay
for crazy prices...sux for Dan cause he still hasn't
received a dime for that record to this day and it was
his first release. Anyone know what Damon Booker is up
to these days? I take it he didn't keep a lot of
friends since he never paid his artists.

yup this one is a masterpiece!...one of my all time
top 10 techno records. It was proto broken beat too
for sure...another man who really took the Detroit
sound to a different realm and really pioneered his
own interpretation of it. speaking of which, another
genius who doesn't get mentioned enough, Steve
"Stasis" Pickton has just released a 3XLP called Past
Movements n Peacefrog...there are also unreleased
Stasis tracks on it too! buy on sight!

this december weather is making me pull out my old
techno records - minto
