BTW: I checked the ground too - problem appears to be on the mixer channel - I've tried on the line in on that channel and don't get no distortion so it looks like the problem is on the inputs on the left phono channel... Also without audio signal (ie nothing playing or on blank grooves) there is no rumbling...
