totally agree with whoever said mayer's mixing was all about the context. got to see him in montreal last year with reinhard voigt (voigt was live, mayer was djing) and it was a masterful set. he started with totally ambient pieces, then started adding downtempo beats and played for an hour before he even got near four on the floor 120bpmish territory. and he just built things from there, song by song, every song in its place. take care. andrew duke
