Thanks to the 313ers that were in attendance on Friday, shame about the numbers but you know that happens to us from time to time. It was a shame Kenny said he was too sick to enjoy the afterparty celebrations with us guys though.
The only thing I would say about the night was I was a little upset to see Kenny not looking too enthusiastic when with us. I know he wants to do his albums and a little more touring before probably stopping djing, but you know we lose a **** load of money trying to do this, and have done representing over the last few years. So it would've been nice to have that image too. I hope he had a good time nevertheless. :) Anyway, his new album is funkin'. Bit harder than I expected in the bits I heard, but still cool. Time for my beauty sleep before Kraftwerk tomorrow, Happy 3rd birthday to us! It was musical. I only heard a few moments though. I mainly remember a funky vocal track. > A full range of opinions, pictures and so on can be found > at: > > http://www.littledetroit.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1709&start=75 > > A good night was had by all, as you can see! > > Kenny Larkin spun a really accomplished and varied set, but > at times definitely went a bit too much into looped banger/ > tribal territory (for me at least) - so much so that there > were about two occasions where I just had to leave the > dancefloor, and I'm generally very tolerant towards that sort > of thing.
