I guess this is a response to my post about Tortured Soul. Um... first of all, I do use sequencers, and from what I gather so do they when they make tracks.
Second of all, what they did last night was something I hadn't ever seen, someone doing music based in DJ Culture, but performed live. This has a flavor you don't get from a 909, and it ties current dance music back to pre-drum machine disco. Third, even though I love dance music, there's an excitement of a different flavor that you get from a live, improvisatory performance. Fourth, yes I'm a dickhead, but that has nothing to do with dance music.
