Rob sums it up in true RT style, nice one man! its good to hear that side of it
esp the bit where Ralf did his little shimmy and crowd went mad, its so true
though....

I enjoyed it immensely but I wouldn't use so many superlatives in my
assessment - it was a great entertainment, like going to see the Rolling Stones
play all their hits. Their lightshow was great - very effective and well
co-ordinated with the music - though it did remind me of a Powerpoint
presentation occasionally,.
Hutter was the most animated of the four - he tapped his leg from time
to time and a couple of times we saw a shimmy of his hips to which the audience
reacted as if he was Jimi Hendrix setting fire to his axe, even though he was
more like William Hague at Notting Hill. Ralf Hutter's vocal performance was
unintentinally comical at times - he nervously put his hand to his lips,
everytime he ..err.. vocalised, giving him the appearance of Larry Grayson. I
liked the costume changes - the Robots were so cool and I liked the Tron
outfits too - there was never any doubt that this was a spectacle to be
enjoyred.

Sorry not to talk about Stockhausen or fascism but I would just like to
wholeheartedly agree that Saturday night was one of the most amazing musical
experiences I have ever had. In fact, it was also one of the most amazing
visual feasts I have ever had. I couldn't get to sleep *last* night because I
had 'Man Machine' going through my head, and when I woke up this morning it was
*still* in my head. Am I going to need therapy to get thorugh this? I NEED to
see them again.
As for the lack of people dancing, the inclined floor at the Brixton
Academy is hardly ideal. Or maybe I am just getting old and arthritic?

P.S: Gary - I think I was naive to think we would ever 'bump into each
other' in there...!

I think the visuals for the whole show were amazing. It was very cool
how
they used all the artwork from their album sleeves, it worked so well
with
the music.
After all these years, they came out & proved that their still the
Daddies
(or Granddaddies even!)
Kraftwerk tracks have been on shuffle in my head since Saturday.
Best thing i've witnessed during 10 yrs of enjoying electronic music - i
doubt it will ever be bettered.

ROBOTS COMPUTERWORLD NUMBERS HOMECOMPUTER POCKETCALCULATOR insanity in
Brixton.
The robots were sooooo f*cking cool. I was a bit nonplussed by the whole
thing at the start, probably until around 'The Model' (which had amazing
visuals), but then as my favorite songs emerged I got completely
involved..
It's hard to articulate what it's like really, but it's very very cool
when
you're hearing your favorite stuff. Do not miss it if you can help it.
