I think the Murat that was being mentioned in the original email is the
Canadian Murat
(now living in the States) who has recorded for the Toronto-based Method
11:11 label as
well as Tim Baker's Chicago-based Elephanthaus label. Andrew

He hasn't been back to toronto for some time now...could be a mixture of
both choice and circumstance. There are quite a few peeps that talk about
Murat and use some of his past production in thier sets...I know even a few
more people that would love to see this guy grace the decks in a Toronto
setting, but I would make the trip to Detroit to catch him.
