Hi,

not wanting to sound like the net police or anything, but ... people seem to have got into the habit of quoting all of the original emails that relate to a subject when they reply to the list.

Aside from the fact that it's generating a lot of unnecessary email traffic, it's making the 313digest practically unreadable; the last digest contained only 4 x new postings hidden amongst lots of recycled emails that I've had to scroll past several times today. It's making my eyes hurt and my scroll wheel is approaching meltdown ;-)

I think it's perfectly reasonable to quote the relevant sections of previous posts for the sake of context, but I think remailing the entire thread is a little unnecessary from a signal to noise perspective.

Does that sound like a reasonable request, or should I just give up on trying to read the digests and subscribe to the normal list ?

Thanks,

sImon
