I am not 100 percent won over by this album. It's very MOR to me. I like it, but I don't love it. I still think the young 'uns are giving him a run for his diamonds and pearls, even if they lack his musical genius (and scope). Andre 3000 has the flair, Pharrell the eccentricity (and pop ethos and sheer prolific-ness), Moodymann the mystique... I don't think the romantic content would compromise his Witness status, since he focusses on marriage not macking, but the political missive of Dear Mr Man (aimed at Bush) would - I thought JW's were discouraged from participating in politics or nationalistic things as it recognises an authority other than Jehovah. I guess Prince is contradictory as ever!
Am totally excited to see Adina Howard back, he he. No freak songs though. ;( ---------- >From: sean deason <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, <313@hyperreal.org> >Subject: Re: (313) OT Prince LP >Date: Mon, 19 Apr 2004 9:08 PM > > I havent heard the new album.
