Announcing the second installment of "Electric Avenue" on Saturday, July
17th. Special guests are DJ Nova and Dex (Underground
Resistance/Submerge). DJ Nova aka Nelson Fernandez has played an
important role in Miami's underground scene since
1996, nobody has pushed Detroit harder in South Florida! He has taken his
sound to some of the hottest clubs in Central and South America. Nelson
is the creator of the annual "Miami Meets Detroit" BBQ at Winter Music
Conference in Miami, FL. Nelson recently relocated to Detroit from Miami
and played at Movement this year. He uses both Final Scratch and the
cycloops digital sampler + effects.

During the 2001 DEMF, Dex met Mad Mike, and after years of supporting
Detroit Techno via his vinyl addiction, this East L.A. native made his
move to Detroit. While in Detroit, he's worked along side DJ Rolando and
Gerald Mitchell engineering and editing music for the Los Hermanos label.
As a part of UR's Timeline, Dex uses his production and dj skills with
musicians Mad Mike, Gerald Mitchell and Raphael Merriweathers for a
hybrid dj and live techno band. In the studio Dex recently employed his
production skills to work with the other Timeline members and remake
'Journey Of The Dragons' - renovating a Detroit techno classic.
