Any UK 313ers see this yet? It's on DVD

I'm not a UK 313er, but I have this :-)

Features The Human League, Cabaret Voltaire, ABC, Pulp, John Peel, The
Extras, Artery, 2.1, and I think a few more

Heaven 17 (well ... Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware, anyway)
Vice Versa (the completely-different precursor to ABC).

wonder if this will have a US release?

I doubt it - too small an audience. But the DVD is Region 0 and
it'll play anywhere - I ordered it straight from the Web site and
it arrived willy-nilly. Plays perfectly. You can buy it direct from

        http://home.btconnect.com/sheffieldvision/buy_film.html

As UK music mags used to say: "So, any cop?"

It's fantastic. Chock full of interviews (especially with
Marsh & Ware, and lengthy bits with Phil Oakey and Stephen Singleton
of Vice Versa/ABC) and some live footage in the extras. It was
really fun for me as an owner of two Vice Versa records in the States
(try going around going "ABC are calculated crap! Listen to this
Really Cool Stuff they did as Vice Versa before ABC!" when no one
else has the records) to see live Vice Versa footage and hear
Stephen talk about those days leading up to the formation of ABC.

I do have a few nits to pick about it - how they could talk to
Marsh & Ware without The British Electric Foundation ever being
mentioned even once (heck, they mentioned The Men) is beyond me;
other than the occasional nod, Adi Newton & Clock DVA don't get
a look in; and Chris Watson - looking bizarrely like John Peel
these days with his bald head and grey/white beard! - is the Cabs'
sole representative ... no reasons given why Mal & Kirk are
no-shows.

But methinks these nits are better discussed on Little Detroit :-)
