I agree - they had a good run of releases going for a while but Soma has
just fizzled. I think it started to happen right around 1999-2000. I was
honestly looking forward to hearing the new Envoy LP since I like "Where
There's Life".  Thinking maybe Enoy would put some life back into the
label, man was I ever disappointed.

same goes for Glasgow Underground - they had a few good records until they
let Mateo and Matos take over with their flaccid house music.

other labels mentioned so far are better than both Soma and GU combined
(imo)

There are some great early Slam and Daft Punk records, Surgeon,
Rejuvination, Chaser, Russ Gabriel, Maas, Funk D'Void, Space DJs, Gene
Farris, Schatrax, Scott Grooves - but lately they've been puttting out too
many dull techhouse Silicone Soul Records and dull loopy Percy X records
