1.I don't know him, but Dave Turov currently lives in NYC. I believe he moved back a while ago (I get his Eflyers)
2.I love how this article compares one extreme to the other. The most expensive, yet wealthy and sometime poorest city in the US;the capital of capitalism nearly...to the absolute opposite. There are 'inbetween' cities in the US where cost of living isn't that bad. 3.If I could pick up and get a great, steady teaching job in the UK with the snap of my finger that would be awesome. But, our dollar is so weak that I would go into debt first before I would turn personal profit (income). That's not even considering the cash for a legit visa.So I'll stay. I'm scared sh*tless of the world I would raise a hypothetical family in if the current administration gets reelected. I AM one of those 'type A' personalities- I like some financial stability, I don't share my can of beer well and have lots of stuff that I like to be organized. to each their own. d --- /0 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > move? > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <313@hyperreal.org> > Sent: Tuesday, October 26, 2004 3:32 PM > Subject: (313) Livin in a America > > > >I don't remember if this made it on list, but it is > a really good article > >about why it feels like living in america sucks > esp. bad right now.
