ive heard NYC soulful house deejays play "windchime", and ive seen
plenty of UR records on their playlists in general. theyve always
played that older transmat stuff, but they seem to get off on the
UR stuff of today. and if you missed it, there was an excellent
10" on ibadan called "sandcastles" that sounds straight outta
detroit, almost like a UR cut actually with the "jaguar"-esque
string build-up. and right after that one there was another 10" by
slam mode that sounds very detroity as well, though not as good.
