Mike Grant played a solid set for us when we booked him last year. I've also seen him in Fabric where I enjoyed him less. But I think that might be more due to the stultifying effect of that 'Fabric Main Room Vibe/Policy'. In that case, it's hardly a roomful of headz. I can't blame the guy for taking the money and running really (and playing the records which that crowd might prefer). I mean, I've never heard a bad Mike Grant/M&G/Afrosyntrix/End2End record, and I have heard good MG sets. If the commercial sets subsidize the good ones (perhaps like his last T-Funk shun one by the sound of it) and some good records, then it's fine by me. Mike Grant does Music full time, as far as I know.
