kamal - masta ace is my favorite mc...even tho he's not as always-on as he used
to be...

i have been listening to loads of orlando voorn. basic bastard reissues
1,3,4,5, format #2, keep house undaground, love break, etc etc. these are some
of the best techno/house tracks i never heard...extremely extremely good stuff!
classics! i guess when i ordered 9 orlando records, submerge figured me for a
fan, and sent 2 extra copies of two of them, and a free copy of one i didnt
order...nice!! i also got dj bone's longevity one -- real nice, feel it more
than any of those other ones i think -- he sounds like he's channelling rob
hood and juan most of the time, not the most original stuff, but pretty damn
good. the plan #1 is really nice, simple but catchy d techno, fun but not super
exciting. i also got omar s - day/night...honestly it just sounded like crap
after all the orlando records. i like the very last 2 minutes of "night" when
it gets all melodic. omar s i dunno, nice stuff, but unexciting to me...also
got ur-slide...i'm late...it's fun...i'm not crazy about it, but i like it...

Bumpin the fxck out of the frantic flowers joint. I really can't get enough of
this one. Wish the breakbeat tracks were slower. 128 at -8 sucks. It's awesome
though. Every track. The maurice fulton remix of "welcome" by paul & honesty
has been the alternate attitude lately. This one's super dope as well. The
bassline is second to none and the whole track just has this lean to it that I
love. Masta Ace - a long hot summer has been getting a bunch of play lately.
Dope beats from 9th wonder and the beatnuts and more. Dope ass lyrics and a
cool concept throughout. Some devendra barnhart.
