Why? Because hopefully you listen to more than just Detroit techno! I've downloaded a tonne of stuff from this list and I've discovered lots of great music that's not from Detroit - Matt's shows aren't 100% Detroit and most of the people who regularly post their mixes do not exclusively play Detroit techno, indeed mixes which play 100% Detroit I tend to avoid.
