First post for 3 weeks: 1 week spent at the Synch festival near Athens and then recovering on the island of Aegina afterwards.
Then 2 weeks of sheers madness at work due having had the effrontery to have a holiday so no list time! Anyway Synch summary rather than report due to the above: Great festival, great music. Really great spaces, good sound, good artists. What more could you want? A few small things - not too many people there which was good for being able to have space to dance right in front of a stage but detracted from the energy. On the night there was a slightly fuller crowd the bar facilities couldn't cope. One of the spaces was as hot as a sauna. Minor things that better organisation would sort but generally this event was class. Best thing I saw - Jamie Lidell. Hadn't seen him before. Looked kind of Jarvis Cocker like from where I stood, on stage in a bathrobe or dressing gown, would start a track with real good human beatboxing, sample himself doing it, loop it / cut it up, add bits then sing over the top! Anyone else want to relate their Synch experience / views - Guilherme? Giannis were you there?
