TO THE BONE Saturday 8 October The George 4 144, Brixton Hill Entry £5 10-6am
DJs: Peel Seamus Aroy Dee Terry Brookes Charlie Blew Tony Little With scant regard for finances, health, or personal hygiene, TO THE BONE step up a gear to bring you three parties in as many months. The Dutch have designed shoes that nobody wears; cheese remarkable only for its inedible skin; and sensible, enlightened policies that have resulted in one of the most tolerant societies on earth. But wait! Calm down, remove the key from the ignition, and stop feverishly booking unnecessary budget flights - let's not condemn them to a watery grave just yet. In recent years, a tight-knit core of producers and labels have made Holland the envy of the global electronic music community. And now they've set their sights further afield, namely, Planet Delsin; a strange and fearsome place characterised by snaggle-toothed, mentally deficient inhabitants and a currency consisting entirely of F-reg Ford Escorts and children's bikes. No, sorry - that's Brixton Hill. Planet Delsin is much the same, but with funny accents... ...so it is with genuine enthusiasm that we say 'hey guysh, wanna come make party with ush?!' to Planet Delsin's supreme leader, Peel Seamus, and crown prince, Aroy Dee. NWAQ and Deepart artist, Terry Brookes, will also join in the fun, travelling from the no less exotic environs of Willesden. As if the above is not temptation enough, on the night you can also purchase copies of Planet Delsin on CD and vinyl, as well as the accompanying t-shirts, for just ten pounds.
