Unlike for Tom, Trance is very much a feature of my life, I hear it on the radio, see coverage of it in the press and get blasts of it pumping out of people's cars all the time. It fills the clubs and generally pollutes my musical life, so I'd actually be very glad if someone came along to kill it off. Unfortunately, if this were to happen, it would just be replaced by another genre created with the exclusive aim of making piles of cash, which is the root of the problem really. Maybe I'll join Tom and bury my head in the sand after all...
i was thinking about this this morning funnily enough....i think trance has a lot more in common with pop music than the kind of electronic stuff typically discussed on this list.
as pop music it just doesn't really warrant a discussion really. i just ignore it like i ignore boy bands etc.
