Now, I personally try to be scrupulous about music as I'm sincerely
passionate about all music but especially 'advanced' electronic music.
This means I've never illegally downloaded music. However I have
received music from mates which might have been acquired in that way and
I've sometimes made copies of CDs (or digitised vinyl) for friends.

What do other people think?

Alex, I'd particularly like to know your view, given that you were
co-executive producer?"

Hi Ken.

Well, thats a general statement that emi put on all their releases. Whether
I agree or dis-agree is pretty irrelevant I suppose as it has to go on
there!
But its no different to the home-taping statement of many moons ago?
I mean, they're not actually saying anything thats wrong on there, what
they're saying is correct of course - but thats always been the record
company line - even when internet piracy wasn't around, there was always
statements of a similar ilk - e.g. public performance statement, or home
taping statement.

do you see what I mean? i.e. its a bit of a nothing/general statement?

Alex

p.s. thank you very much for buying it, your support is appreciated.
p.p.s. no one ever called me a co-executive before. heh. doubt they'll ever
do it again either!
